MY APPROACH
I use an integrated approach to working with my clients that is rooted in the connection between the mind and body. Drawing from various therapeutic theories and techniques, including EMDR, somatic therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and parts and inner child work, I provide a unique blend of support that helps my clients identify and release the obstacles that are preventing them from moving forward to living the life they want.
My approach is based on knowing that:
~Your body and spirit know what you need to move forward - learning to listen to this wisdom is key to unlocking your potential.
~Everything is information - learning to identify what your reactions, behaviours, and thoughts are showing you will help you break free of old patterns that no longer serve you.
~Listening to your mind is optional - separating the truth from the chaos of negative and self defeating chatter opens the door to more positive and healthy relationships, with yourself and others.
Together, we will do an initial exploration of your unique concerns and issues. We’ll identify and work to understand the behaviours, reactions, and emotions that prevent you from moving forward. Then we’ll find the best tools to shifting old patterns to move you toward your goals, improved relationships, and well-being.
My clients
I work primarily with adults providing individual therapy.
My passion is supporting individuals through planned or unexpected change and transition in their lives Whether you are experiencing a change in life circumstances – the end of a relationship, chronic illness, illness or death of a loved one, career transition, or you are seeking change in your life, but don’t know what you want or how to get there, I can help. Areas we may work on include helping you manage anxiety, depression, grief, body image and disordered eating, relationship issues, and personal growth.
